Log filter for hostgroups not working

Reported by: timshaw Owned by:
Priority: minor Milestone: Centreon-2.0
Component: CentCore Version: RC5

Description

Under Monitoring | Event Logs I see filters are built for HostGroups?, Hosts Alone (Hosts not in Hostgroups) and ServiceGroups?

The Hosts alone filter works correctly - all hosts are listed and selecting them filters the logs to show only those records

However no hostgroups are shown under the Hostgroup or ServiceGroup? filters so it is not possible to search for log records for for hosts within a hostgroup. (screenshot attached)

Sorry but it's working. It's not display empty hostgroup. Check your configuration.

If you have a restriction on your user, check you have access to all hostgroup.

I have many hostgroups containing hosts. None are empty.

This was tested as an admin user.

But I will check again and report back...thanks.

OK - I have investigated further and I see what the problem is.

admin users or users with admin equivalence cannot be added to access groups - they do not appear in user lists of users when creating or modifying access groups

However admin users do seem to be prevented by ACLs from seeing everything in the system - which is why I encountered the problem.

So - either it should be possible to add admin or admin equivalent users to access groups or ACLs should not apply to admin or admin equivalent users across all system components.

you have to share hostgroups in ACL... try it. I'm sur it's not a bug.

Regards,
